BADMINTON

Badminton is a racket and shuttle game played by two players or a doubles team on the court. The sport takes its name from the badminton house, the Duke of Beaufort's home in Gloucestershire, England.

In 1873, the Duke was credited with bringing Punah, a version of the game, from India and introducing it to guests.

The sport quickly became popular, and in 1877, rules were first devised by the newly formed Bath Badmadnam Club. The Badminton England Federation was created 16 years later, and organized the first all - England championship in 1899.

History

Games using shuttlecock were played throughout Eurasia for centuries, but modern badminton developed into a variant of the former battledoor and shuttlecock among expatriate officers in British India in the mid-19th century. ("Battledoor" was an old term meaning "racket."Its exact origin is unclear. The name comes from the Duke of Beaufort's badminton house in Gloucestershire, but it is unclear why or when. In early 1860, a London toy dealer named Isaac Spratt published a booklet titled Badminton Battledoor - new games, but no copies are known to survive. An article in cornhill magazine in 1863 described badminton as "battledoor and shuttlecock playing from the side across a hanging line about five feet from the ground." 먹튀검증

The game was originally developed in India among British expatriates, and was very popular in the 1870 s. Ball badminton is a form of game played with woolen balls instead of shuttlecock, which was played in Tanjabur in the 1850s and was initially replaced with woolen balls in windy or rainy weather by the English.

Rules

The coat is rectangular and divided in half by a net. According to badminton rules, courts can only be displayed as singles, but courts are usually displayed as both singles and doubles. The doubles stadium is wider than the singles stadium, but both are the same length. An exception that often causes confusion for new players is the shorter sub-length dimensions of the doubles court.

Providing

When the server serves, the shuttlecock must pass through the short service line of the opponent's court. Otherwise, it is considered a mistake. The server and receiver must remain within the service court without touching the boundary until the server hits the shuttlecock. The other two players can stand wherever they want as long as they don't block the view of the server or receiver.

Scoring

Each match will run to 21 points, with or without a serve, and each rally will be scored by the players (this is different from the existing system where players can only get one point on the serve and each match will run to 15 points). The game is the best of the three.

If the score is tied at 20-20, the game will continue until one side has a two-point lead (e.g. 24-22) except when it is tied at 29-29. The person who gets this score wins the game.

Let's do it

When a ret is called, the rally stops and the score is played unchanged. It may be caused by an unexpected interruption, such as a shuttlecock landing on the court (which has been hit there by players playing on the court next to it), or in a small hole, the shuttle may come into contact with overhead rails that can be classified as a let.

Equipment

The racket is light, and the highest quality racket without grips or strings is 70 to 95g (2.5 to 3.4 ounces). It consists of a wide range of materials, from carbon fiber composites (graphite reinforced plastics) to solid steel that can be reinforced with a variety of materials. Carbon fibers have a good strength-to-weight ratio, are hard, and have excellent kinetic energy transfer.

Badminton strings for rackets are thin and high-performance strings that are about 0.62 to 0.73 mm thick. The thicker you reduce it, the more durable it is, but many players prefer a thinner string feel. String tension typically ranges from 80 to 160 N (18 to 36 lbf). Recreational athletes typically tie strings between 80 and 110 N (18 and 25 lbf) at lower tensions than professionals. Experts use strings between approximately 110 and 160 N (25 and 36 lbf). Some string manufacturers measure the thickness of the string under tension, which is actually thicker than specified when it is loose. Way Micropower is actually 0.7mm, but Yonex BG-66 is about 0.72mm.

The grip allows you to increase the thickness of the racket handle and choose a surface that is easy to hold. The player can configure the handle with one or more grips before applying the last layer.

Shuttlecock (also known as shuttlecock, buddy) is a cone-shaped, high-precision projectile formed by 16 overlapping feathers inserted into the bottom of a circular cork. Cork is covered with thin leather or synthetic material. Artificial shuttles are often used by recreational players to reduce costs because feather shuttles are easily broken. These nylon shuttles may consist of a natural cork or synthetic foam base and a plastic skirt.

Badminton shoes are lightweight with rubber floors or high grip and non-marking materials.

Technique

Stroke

badminton offers a variety of basic strokes, and players need a high level of skill to perform all of these effectively. All strokes can be played forehand or backhand. The player's forehand side is the same side as their play hand: for right-handed players, the forehand side is their right and the backhand side is their left. A forehand stroke is a forward stroke of the hand as if it were struck with the palm of the hand, while a backhand stroke is a backward stroke of the hand as if it were struck with the knuckles. Players often play certain strokes on the forehand side with backhand hitting movements, and vice versa.

Spin

The ball can be spun to change its bounce (e.g., topspin and backspin in tennis) or to change its trajectory, and the player can slice the ball to produce such a spin (which can be struck with a square racket face). The shuttlecock should not be bounced, but cutting the shuttlecock applies to badminton. (See Basic stroke for description of technical terminology.)

Biomechanics

Badminton biomechanics has not been the subject of extensive scientific research, but some studies identify a small role of the wrist in development and indicate that a major contribution to force stems from internal and external rotation of the upper arm and lower arm. Therefore, recent sports guides emphasize forearm rotation rather than wrist movement.

Services are limited by law and provide unique stroke choices. Unlike tennis, the rackets on the server must point downward to deliver the serve, so you usually have to hit the shuttle up to get through the net.
